How much should I give?
Only you can make that decision. With several payment and billing options, particularly payroll deduction, employees can make a "stretch" gift to support the campaign commensurate with their income level. Some employees choose to pledge a specific amount, i.e., $5,000, $1,000, $500 or $100. Others opt to select an amount for a bi-weekly payroll deduction, i.e., $25, $10, $5. Employees also are able to charge their gift or pledge using credit cards.
Can I donate vacation time (PTO)?
No. This will not be offered as a payment option for this campaign.
How can I get a T-shirt?
The employees who donate $25 or more will receive a "Spirit T-shirt." The Foundation will host two separate fun-filled events asking employees to wear their T-shirts to show hospital spirit and support for the Neuroscience Campaign.
What kind of recognition will I receive?
Employee donors will be acknowledged in multiple ways, including listings in Somerset Medical Center Foundation publications and employee donor displays as well as invitations to participate in events and raffles. In addition, donors at certain levels will receive additional recognition with the installation of their name on a Donor Wall.
What happens if I leave Somerset Medical Center?
It is our hope that every donor will fulfill his or her pledge. However, the pledge form represents a moral rather than a legal commitment.
Will my support be a reflection on my reputation as an employee?
Absolutely not! The campaign is an opportunity for employees to invest in the expansion of Somerset Medical Center and its services. Participation is a personal choice, and one that is greatly appreciated at every level.
